Christmas Around My Home 2025.

When I first started blogging, I was still trying to find my design style and my Christmas decor style. I would change up the decor every year until I found what I really love: Colourful, jewel-toned, Nostalgic Christmas decor. Now I basically do the same thing every year, although I usually add a few items to my collections each year- a few more garland strands, a house for our village, or a few more ornaments.

I am a bit of a control freak about the decor, too, although this year I really tried to let my children have free rein as to where things went, with a few exceptions. I love how it turned out and the memories they are making when we decorate!

Starting the tour outside, I created this garland archway using bits from the garage and clippings from our yard trees. See Instagram for a video.

I found this silly garland at the thrift store, and something about it just evoked a sense of childhood Christmas to me, so I grabbed it and added it around the house. It’s super tacky, but I love it.

Our Christmas house collection is displayed under the TV, and now that we have pictures over here, it’s so much more colorful and cozy. I found some Christmas art on YouTube for the photos.

In the kitchen this year I just added a bit of garland and called it good. Last year I had cedar branches everywhere.

Now for the part the kids did. They were on a paper chain making frenzy so I let them go all out in the playroom. I love it.

Outside we finally got some Christmas lights and much to my husbands dismay he had to hang them. My kids wanted a blow up decoration and we saw this snowman family with 3 kids and thought it fit perfectly!

From our Home to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas!
